To promote, on the regional and national level, innovative educational programs of capacity development for Armenian school children and school staff (teachers and school leaders), while we build collaborative and self-developing communities of practice.

Help Me Read project aims to develop capacity for quality foundational reading and Math provision for disadvantaged readers. Implemented in 16 schools in Lori region, Armenia.

"Read!" Extracurricular reading clubs engage middle school children in shared reading practices and aim to boost their motivation to read.
"Stepping Stones of Reading'' project objectives

- Preschool teachers capacity development
"Stepping Stones of Reading" is a programme aimed at developing the abilities of teachers of preschool educational institutions. Specialists involved in the programme are trained and, along with the training, work with children on a specific program and have mentoring online meetings, discussing the work done.
"Summer Camp" objectives

NorArar develops professional capacity in the national and local staff of the Republican Pedagogical and Psychological Center of Armenia for improved literacy outcomes striving for system-wide use of evidence-informed strategies and interventions.
OUR TEAM
Mher Davtyan is the co-founder and president of the "NorArar" Education NGO. Mher has ten years of experience in teaching, professional development of teachers, educational research, and educational leadership. Currently, Mher is a doctoral student at the University of Cambridge Faculty of Education. Mher completed a Master's in Educational Leadership at University College London's Institute of Education and studied at the American University of Armenia and the Vanadzor State Pedagogical Institute.
MHER DAVTYAN
Co-founder and President of NorArar Education NGO
Arpine Baghdasaryan is an Expert in Reading Development. Her responsibilities include teacher training design, mentoring, project evaluation and monitoring, mentor training, and content development. She has an MA in Education and International Development from University College London. Arpine has experience teaching Armenian Language and Math in public rural school settings and at UWC Dilijan Preparatory School. She has worked as an expert in UNICEF and currently serves as the Education Programs Manager at NorArar. Additionally, she works as a Monitoring and Learning Manager with COAF Smart Center in Lori.
ARPINE BAGHDASARYAN
Education Programmes Manager
Lusine Poghosyan is the vice principal and Armenian language and literature teacher at Vanadzor No. 12 Basic School. She has 21 years of teaching experience and holds a first-degree qualification. She studied in the Philological Faculty, Linguistics Department, at Vanadzor State Pedagogical Institute. Continuously participating in various training programs, she expands her extensive knowledge base and applies it meaningfully in her daily work.
LUSINE POGHOSYAN
Reading Literacy Content Developer and School Mentor
Lusine Harutyunyan has 30 years of experience as a teacher. She has been recognized as the "Teacher of the Year" in the Lori region and has received the first category qualification for teachers. Lusine obtained her teaching qualification by graduating from the "Pedagogy and Elementary Education Methodology" department of Vanadzor State Pedagogical Institute. She is involved in various organizations as a trainer. At the "NorArar" Education NGO, she coordinates educational programs and trains teachers.

School Coordinator
Aren Yeranosyan is a content developer in the project. He has experience in teaching and administration of Armath school clubs. Aren is involved in developing partnerships with schools and local educational authorities, recruiting teachers and principals, and creating content for teacher training and interventions. He is an alumnus of Teach For Armenia and has worked with the E-School Armenia project by the National Center for Informational Technologies. Aren possesses strong coordination and communication skills.
